Al Ahly started their group stage journey with a 3-0 win against Ghana’s Medeama, while Young Africans suffered a 3-0 defeat against CR Belouizdad.
Medeama opened the second round of the group with a 2-1 victory over CR Belouizdad on Friday, resulting in the following group standings:

In the upcoming round, Al Ahly is scheduled to face CR Belouizdad in Cairo next Friday before the rematch in Algeria in the fourth round.
Young Africans’ lineup featured Djigui Diarra, Kwasi Atuahole, Dixon Job, Ibrahim Hamad, Joiss Lomalisa, Khalid Ouchou, Bakary Nondo, Stefan Aziz Ki, Maxi Mbuya Nzinga, Cleman Francis Mzizzi, and Bakom Zozowa.
